We look at 9 cool special edition variants coming for Chevrolet's Silverado and Silverado HD trucks in 2022.

Over a century ago, Chevrolet debuted the one-ton pickup. The year was 1918 and their first production truck made history. There have been many changes to the Chevy truck’s form and function over the past 100 years, but the iconic brand of Chevy has remained.

Looking further into today’s lineup of 2022 Chevy Trucks, we zero in on the Silverado and Silverado HD. The Silverado 1500 is a half-ton staple of the truck industry. In the heavy-duty or HD class, the Silverado 2500 is a three-quarter ton and the 3500 is the modern-day one-ton. Whether it is the Silverado or the Silverado HD, Chevrolet has a workhorse for any truck buyer, and for those that want to add a little flavor into their truck, Chevy offers a few special editions for 2022.

While some Chevy Special Editions have been publicized with a bit of fanfare, there are a few that a buyer will find only as they build their truck on the Chevy website. Here we look at Chevy Silverado and Silverado HD Special Editions for 2022.

Chevy brings the Realtree Special Edition to the Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss with a “Hunt for Adventure.” Camo-themed graphics show up on the hood and rear fender. The Realtree logo and/or accents can also be seen in the Chevytec spray-on bed liner and in the interior design.

Upgrades include a two-inch suspension lift, black tube steps, 20-inch black gloss aluminum wheels, and Goodyear Wrangler Territory M/T tires. The Realtree Edition Trail Boss comes with black rectangular exhaust tips on dual outlets.

Chevy’s Redline Edition can be seen on the Silverado 1500 RST as a “Sportier Way to Silverado.” The Redline model shows off black and red accents with front and rear body-color bumpers.

Gloss black door handles, and grille center can be seen alongside the black tube steps and black rectangular exhaust tips on the dual outlets. Red recovery hooks stand out at the front bumper. Red detailing spans the rearview mirror, fender, tailgate, the RST, and Silverado emblems as well as its 20-inch black aluminum wheels. A cold air intake kit and performance exhaust are included.
