Holy Guacamole! Dodge, RAM And Jeep Detail Their SEMA Concepts | Carscoops

Earlier this month, Mopar, Stellantis’ in-house tuners, released a selection of teasers for concept vehicles destined for the SEMA Show. Now, they’ve fully unveiled the vehicles ahead of the show.

Kicking things off is the plug-in hybrid Wrangler that has been modified with parts and accessories from Jeep Performance Parts (JPP). They include an industry-first 2-inch lift kit with FOX shocks specifically tuned for the 4xe.

The concept also rides on JPP Beadlock-capable wheels mounted to BFGoodrich KM3 37-inch tires. Custom underbody rock lights illuminate the path to help protect its precious underbelly while a JPP stamped steel bumper features a custom single-hoop winch protector with an LED light just above it.

The windshield is made of JPP Gorilla Glass, which is three times stronger than the stock glass. The exterior is painted in Ivory Pearl, which extends to the JPP tube doors. Rock rails and black accents have been painted Dark Neutral Metallic Grey outside and inside the Wrangler. Custom fenders and hood graphics add to the look.

Finally, it gets a Mopar Blue Katskin leather interior with tungsten stitching and a concept three-piece JPP vinyl floor, featuring four drain plugs for easy cleaning. At the back, meanwhile, a swing-gate flip-down table adds a useful flat surface for maps and snacks. A custom onboard compressor will help get you out of trouble.

Painted Sahara Bronze, the concept has been extended an additional 12-inches to hold a third row of seats and a custom modular roofline adds five inches of headroom at the back. Dual side and three front-facing windows above the second and third rows help enhance the views out for passengers. A custom removable one-piece Freedom Top with a flip-up glass sunroof panel, meanwhile, opens the view over the driver and front passenger.

Underneath, it gets a JPP 2-inch lift kit with FOX shocks, which make room for 20-inch Black Rhino York wheels mounted on 37-inch BFG KM3 mud-terrain tires. Black JPP tubular side steps with molded inserts provide more protection and durability.

A stamped steel front bumper that’s narrower than the stock unit improves the concept’s approach angle and forms a base for LED fog lamps. The grille is finished in Satin Black and the hood is adorned with custom black Mopar hood latches that feature the Jeep Willys logo.

Around back, the tailgate is reinforced to accept an oversized spare tire carrier. The brake lights are also modified to account for the extra circumference and a custom rear bumper reaches nearly a foot around each quarter panel to the wheel flares.

Finally, inside, the Overlook Concept is fitted with black Katskin leather seats and a black leather-wrapped dashboard. Both seats and dash are accented with Sahara Bronze stitching to match the exterior. The center console uses Raven Black suede and the front seats have a Jeep grille logo embroidered in their backs.

Jeep Grand Cherokee L Breckenridge Concept

Featuring a unique two-tone Magnetite matte/metallic and gloss-black paint scheme with satin bronze accents, the Breckenridge shows off Jeep’s more premium side. It sits on five-spoke Mopar 21-inch wheels that feature a gloss black finish with matching gloss black faces, center caps, and lug nuts.

A roof-mounted piano-black Thule cargo box sits on top of dual Mopar crossbars and provides additional storage. Inside, an array of custom colors and premium materials elevate the experience. Its seats are Atmospheric Blue Palermo leather as are its doors, which feature blue quilting and trim finished in premium satin walnut. Satin bronze and black accents on the upper door panels, instrument panel, and steering wheel provide contrast.

Mopar stainless-steel pedal covers with black rubber pads add a bold flair. All-weather floor mats keep your carpets clean, while Olivet hard-shell luggage and a set of Atmospheric Blue comfort pillows add to the luxury.

Based on a vintage 1967 Kaiser Jeep M725 military ambulance, this concept has been transformed into the ultimate off-road support machine. Painted Desert Tan, it rides on 20-by-12-inch, eight-lug, Black Rhino Armory wheels that are wrapped in 40-inch tires that all fit under custom widened fenders.

A custom-designed roof panel over the cargo area can raise 16-inches creating room in which a person can stand while retrieving supplies or serving food and refreshments. Modified JPP rock rails help shield the body and are made of heavy-gauge steel and coated with Durabull truck bed liner coating.

Forward lighting comes from a set of concept 7-inch LED headlights flanked by separate pairs of JPP 5-inch off-road LED lights. Another 7-inch LED light is center-mounted and acts as a spotlight.

The original frame was strengthened for more durability and the leaf springs were replaced with a heavy-duty link/coil suspension. Under the hood, meanwhile, a Mopar 392 Crate Hemi V8 engine linked to a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission gives this Kaiser 485 hp (492 PS/362 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque.

Inside, it gets low-back Wrangler seats that are wrapped in tan canvas. There’s a custom-built steering wheel and column, the instrument panel is equipped with modern gauges, and a backup camera is displayed via a screen. A repurposed ammo box carries the transmission and transfer case shifters.

Based on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, the RexRunner gets a whole host of Mopar accessories to give it even more high-speed capability and durability.

Powered by the standard 6.2-liter Hemi V8 that’s rated at 702 hp (712 PS/523 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque, the RexRunner also gets 18×9-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels for a race-inspired look and they’re wrapped in 37-inch Goodyear tires. Ash Gray paint and Mopar Blue accents (including a center strip and bedside graphics) help distinguish it from a normal TRX.

A RamBar and a pair of 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights, help brighten the way. Just under the RamBar is a fully integrated bed-mounted spare-tire carrier that’s ready to hold a full-size spare. A Mopar bed extender flips inward for secure tool transportation, while a bed liner protects it from your stuff.

Custom skid plates feature laser-etched Mopar lettering and help protect the truck’s underside. It also helps increase the approach angle up to 32.5 degrees. Mopar rock rails protect its side sills, and a custom black flip-top fuel-filler door adds to the rugged look.

Five-inch Mopar exhausts add a sporty finish to the rear and a Mopar bed step with an articulating arm helps provide access to the bed. Finally, molded one-piece door panels and a vinyl floor borrowed from the Ram Tradesman allow it to be cleaned out quickly and easily.

Made for hard-working customers, the Outdoorsman Concept is based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 and is painted gloss black with custom Mopar blue graphics. Designed to work hard and play hard, the concept is supposed to carry everything needed at a worksite, while also being the perfect truck for outdoor activities.

That means a two-height position aluminum Mopar bed rack system that runs the full width of the truck bed and safely carries items, such as ladders and plywood, or kayaks and oars. Mounted to the floor of the bed are modified Expertec bed-slides that are rated at 2,000 lbs (907 kg). They make unloading tools, gear, and equipment much easier. Bed rails are also attached to the inside walls of the bed and feature adjustable cleats that slide to secure loads of all sizes.

The inside panel of the tailgate features a custom Mopar RamGate workbench that features various conversion charts, an angle finder, and a concept T-track mounting system that adds more room to cut wood, tune-up bikes, or sharpen skis.

It rides on a two-inch lift kit with Fox shocks and split six-spoke 20×9-inch Black Rhino wheels that are wrapped in 35-inch Continental tires. New Mopar side steps provide easy entry to the elevated cabin.

Inside, the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman concept features a custom deployable work surface that slides out from the center armrest to provide 12×14 inches of extra workspace as well as an integrated measuring system.

Front-row bucket seats and second-row bench seats feature alloy-mesh cloth inserts and Mopar Blue Katzkin leather side bolsters trimmed in Sydney Grey accent leather. The front seats also feature an embroidered logo. The floors, meanwhile, are protected by all-weather floor mats while a RamVac onboard vacuum helps suck out sawdust.

Dodge Challenger Holy Guacamole Concept

The Dodge Challenger Holy Guacamole concept combines the best of classic design with the best of modern muscle. Based on the 2020 limited-production Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody 50th Anniversary edition, it gets throwback ’70s treatment.

That means an exterior awash in custom green paint affectionately known as Rotten Avocado by Dodge designers. It also gets a custom “Gold School” Shaker hood scoop, unique tone-on-tone side striping, and staggered 20-inch Forgeline wheels with a Mopar coilover suspension lowering kit.

Under the Shaker hood are a Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter, and an optimized air box for improved flow to the 392 Hemi V8. Inside, meanwhile, it’s decked out with wood panel trim. The seats and door panels, meanwhile, feature sport green and yellow plaid inserts as a tribute to some of the colors and materials found in the iconic 1970 Challenger.

“With its dedicated enthusiast audience, SEMA is the best place to showcase our full catalog of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories,” said Mark Bosanac, North America vice president, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care. “These seven new custom vehicles demonstrate the passion, creativity, and innovation of the Mopar team.”

All concepts will be on the show floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center for this year’s SEMA show, which runs from November 2-5.
