A unique opportunity to own this Max Power commission, classic Porsche sports car, modded by renowned restoration experts.

Singer is one of the very best tuning and customization houses for Porsche 911s. But outside them directly, it is very difficult to get your hands on a Singer Porsche. However, if you go onto Bring a Trailer right now, you will find a classic Singer Porsche up for sale. This is a 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa that was beautifully modified by Singer between May 2017 and April 2021, and is also dubbed the “Max Power” commission. At the time of writing, the bidding for this car stands at $850,694.

This is a truly glorious looking car. This particular Porsche 911 is in Rubystone Red, which is very nicely accented by ghosted stripes and Porsche lettering on the car's sides and the decklid. There are some great options too, such as the color-matched bumperettes, an external fuel filler cap centered in the hood and a nickel Singer badge atop ghosted “reimagined” lettering. Another feature is the targa panel, which is neatly wrapped in Stayfast Dark Ruby canvas. The Porsche also has a retractable rear spoiler, as well as nickel-plated brightwork.

Inside the Porsche, it is clear that Singer worked their magic with this Porsche 911. The interior sees navy-blue leather as its trim, with woven inserts and nickel ventilation grommets on the surfaces of the carbon-fiber front sport seats and fold-down rear seats. Rubystone quilt stitching is accenting the navy leather floor mats, as well as the Alcantara headliner. There are some great amenities included with the car too. These are air conditioning, a Porsche Classic stereo with navigation system, and upgraded amplifiers and speakers. The Momo Prototipo steering wheel is beautifully wrapped in navy leather, with Rubystone stitching.

Mounted at the rear of the Porsche is the air-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six engine. This was rebuilt by Ed Pink Racing Engines to a displacement of 4.0-liters, and Singer rated the engine at 390 hp. There are plenty of custom components, such as the crankshaft, the pistons, cylinders, connecting rods, camshafts, and cylinder heads to name just a few. The management of the engine is now controlled with an updated MoTeC system and a custom wiring harness. That flat-six power gets delivered to the rear wheels through a Getrag G50 five-speed manual transaxle with a limited slip differential.
