The famous BMW tuner takes the already potent luxury SUV and adds more power, a new exhaust, and a carbon fiber body kit to create the MHX5 700.

The BMW X5 M Competition we know is a practical beast. It is already an impressive high-performance SUV barging into the supercar world. But in case someone thinks the BMW super SUV needs more oomph, Manhart Performance offers the new MHX5 700 as a reinterpreted X5 M Competition with more power and a more dynamic appearance.

In its stock form, the high-performance BMW X5 M Competition offers around 617 hp of max output and 553 lb-ft of peak torque from its powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It's more potent than its standard yet lovable X5 M sibling, allowing it to accelerate quicker. Manhart Performance which has made itself a name in converting BMW models into more powerful versions can’t resist but add the X5 M Competition to its list.

Manhart managed to increase the power levels of the X5 M Competition in two ways. It could employ its own Manhart MHtronik Powerbox auxiliary control unit or implement an ECU remapping. Either way, the boost would increase the max output and peak torque from 617 hp and 553 lb-ft to 730 hp and 664 lb-ft for the MHX5 700.

Aside from offering more power, the MHX5 700 boasts improved driving dynamics. Manhart made it possible through chassis optimization and lowering using height-adjustable H&R coil springs.

The BMW X5 M Competition-based MHX5 700 is a dynamic-looking super SUV as well thanks to various visual modifications. These include the Manhart carbon hood with GTR air outlets, Manhart carbon front spoiler, two-piece Manhart carbon side skirts, and MANHART carbon diffuser with central rear fog light (motorsport style). Finished in Dark Blue, the MHX5 700 rides on 11×23-inch Hamann Anniversary Evo Black Line wheels shod with 315/25ZR23 tires.

Inside, customers could choose to leave the leather-rich interior of the new Manhart MHX5 700 in its standard condition. However, Manhart is offering various elements that could make the cabin feel more vigorous with options such as Manhart gearshift paddles, Manhart carbon steering wheel spoke, and Manhart floor mats which are available upon request.

The MHX5 700 dons Manhart’s stainless steel exhaust system with valve control as well as four tailpipes measuring 3.9 inches in diameter. Customers can also choose these options: Manhart Race downpipes without catalytic converters; Manhart stainless steel OPF Delete replacement pipes; and Manhart OPF Deleter.

The built-in carbon bonnet, race downpipes, OPF-Delete replacement pipes, and OPF-Deleter are available only for export out of Germany.
