Take a look at Sylvester Stallone's outrageous custom-made Ford Mustang GT.

Imagine two icons coming together and creating a relationship that would make anybody weak at the knees in excitement. This is what happened 13 years ago when, aged 63, Sylvester Stallone was spotted behind the wheel of a red and black customized Ford Mustang GT in Los Angeles. Stallone seemed to be living the life of a rich teenager, a rich teenager in good shape at that. It showed that Stallone was still a big kid at heart and still enjoyed the little thrills in life. Guess that's why he chose a tire-shredding Ford to look cool!

Stallone is known by most as an action movie guru, having gained stardom with his leading role in the Rocky franchise which he both wrote and directed as well. Not only did Stallone find success in the Rocky franchise, but he also found huge levels of success in the Rambo franchise. Both franchises spanned over decades, yielding masses of success until the Rocky franchise came to an end in 2006 with the sixth installment of Rocky Balboa.

"It’s a tough one, but Rocky is my first baby, so Rocky" was a line said by Stallone after being asked which iconic character he would rather be remembered by. So, it’s clear that Stallone had a huge passion for creating incredible action movies, but he also has a keen interest in American muscle. And he started to flaunt this love in the form of a custom-made muscle car. Let’s check it out.

The custom-made Mustang GT was designed specifically for Stallone, who strolled away from the beast holding a cigar and holding a birthday cathartic and seemed to read ‘’Age Ain’t Nothin". During this period, it was also confirmed that Sylvester Stallone was already filming for the fifth Rambo movie, which would turn out to be the last in the franchise, after the huge success of the fourth in 2008.

The 2006 Ford Mustang GT that was transformed into such a beautiful work of art for Stallone didn’t live the best life previously. It had been dressed down with many disgusting designs. Which was the reason for Stallone’s customization: to provide the Mustang GT Convertible with its true potential.

Stallone’s initials were engraved into the seats and floor mats, something that Stallone felt necessary. The Mustang GT’s two-tone red and black shiny paint job provided the car with its much-anticipated flair, while the highly impressive 4.6-liter supercharged engine produced an extremely respectable 550 hp. Now, opinions are divided when it comes to Sylvester Stallone’s custom-made Mustang GT.

Many people believe that it’s a very powerful, slick, aggressive-looking car that is very admirable. Others think that Stallone’s custom-made Mustang GT is the complete opposite; its ultra-aggressive body kit is just way too much, and the paintwork was poor, to say the least. With the several flames spanning the entire length of the car, it makes an untidy transition from black to red.

Although it seemed as though Sylvester Stallone had been watching too much "Pimp My Ride" at the time of his Mustang GT’s customization. He soon got bored with it, which is clear to see from the odometer, which read only 4,500 miles at the time of its sale.

Along with the intensely aggressive body kit and paint job, as well as the custom-made Mustang GT’s high-performing engine, it came with 20’’ Foose chrome wheels, Wilwood brakes, and an upgraded convertible roof. But, with a custom-made Mustang GT parked in a garage and never being driven, Stallone decided to sell the Mustang GT and give it the life it deserves, speeding down highways and turning heads.

Sylvester Stallone decided to put his custom-made Ford Mustang GT up for auction at Barret-Jackson. An action house that has become known for its wide variety of products, ranging from unimaginable art forms to knackered old bangers.

Ultimately, any vehicle that is still moveable could be found up for auction at Barret-Jackson. And that is where you would have found Stallone’s custom-made Mustang GT, which was sold to a lucky buyer for $77,000.

As mentioned before, perspectives are split on Stallone’s custom-made Ford Mustang GT. Many will say that $77,000 is a steal, while others may say that it’s a completely ludicrous price to pay for such a unique-looking car. For a luxury, aggressive and hostile car housing a supercharged 4.6-liter engine.

With capabilities allowing 550 hp to be unleashed. Not to mention the fact that this beast was once owned and driven by the legend that is Sylvester Stallone, $77,000 seems completely justifiable. But what do you think? Was it worth the $77,000?
