24H Series preview - Hockenheim hosts a 12-hour race - automobilsport.com

Seven teams have entered in the TCR class of the 12H  Hockenheim, fourth round of the 24H Series. Three of them make their first appearance in the series: Lestrup Racing and Wimmer Werk Motorsport. Sweden-based Lestrup Racing will run two cars. An Audi RS 3 LMS will be driven by Emil Sällberg, Marcus Fluch and the pair Oliver Söderström-Andreas Bäckman who will race for the team in TCR Scandinavia later in the year, while Mats Olsson, Peter Fahlström, Christian Axelsson and Stefan Nilsson will share a Volkswagen Golf GTI DSG.   The Austrian Wimmer Werk has entered a CUPRA DSG for Peter Gross, Dominik Haselsteiner, Günther Wiesmeier and Daniel Lemmerhofer. The series is currently led by the CUPRA Leon Competición run by Monlau Competición under the banner of Thai team BBR; Kantadhee Kusiri, Kantasak Kusiri, Chariya Nuya and Munkong Sathientirakul will share driving duties, defending the four-point lead over Holmgaard Motorsport that has just dropped the VW Golf GTI DSG victorious in the 12H Spa for a CUPRA Leon Competición that will be driven by Jonas Holmgaard, Magnus Holmgaard, Roy Edland and Martin Vedel Mortensen. Jasmin Preisig, Marlon Menden and Ivars Vallers will race in the Autorama Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS II that is lying third in the standings, one further point adrift. WSC  photo Peter Frýba
