Coloring isn't just for kids. While you're visiting the Edwardsville Art Fair this Saturday, stop in at the Edwardsville Public Library at 1 p.m. for an afternoon session of coloring. The library will provide colored pencils and adult coloring books as well as refreshments.

Here's what else is happening in Our Neighborhood: 

26th Annual Fly In and Car Show

10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto. The two-day Fly-In is a family friendly festival of wings, wheels, food and fun hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) local Chapter 864. The event includes the Speed Demons Car Show with the band City Heat, a visit by the Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance, a Kids Zone sponsored by the Bethalto Chamber of Commerce, the Bethalto’s Farmers Market and Food Trucks sponsored by the Bethalto Spirit. Access to the Fly In will be at the main St. Louis Regional Airport entrance on Airline Drive. Free parking will be provided on the airport south lot facing Highway 111.

The Land of Goshen Community Market

8 a.m. - noon at 100 St. Louis St., Edwardsville. Shop for fresh produce, baked goods and crafts from local artisans. For more information visit goshenmarket.org.

Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market

8 a.m. - noon at the corner of Landmarks Boulevard and Henry Street, Alton. Live entertainment, artist demonstrations and other special activities are scheduled every week. Visit the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market Facebook page for updates. 

10 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Registered yoga teacher Julie Hamilton will lead the class using modifications of many common yoga poses. Perfect for seniors and others with disabilities or challenges such as chronic illness, pain or stiffness. Yoga mats not provided, but you may bring your own for added chair stability.

11 a.m. - 9 p.m. at City Park at 101 South Buchanan, Edwardsville. Edwardsville Art Fair is a juried fine art show featuring the original works of approximately 100 artists. Local food will be available. The event is an opportunity for families to see, make and buy art. 

1 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Join for a relaxing and fun afternoon session of coloring. The library will provide colored pencils and adult coloring books along with refreshments.

9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m at the St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto. Hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) local Chapter 864. The event includes the Bethalto Chamber of Commerce Kids Zone and the Bethalto Spirit Farmers Market. Market vendors will include arts and crafts, face painting, produce, goat yoga, seasonal fall flowers and pumpkins, jewelry and much more from over 25 participating vendors. There will be food trucks near the Kids Zone for your enjoyment. Access to the Fly In will be at the main St. Louis Regional Airport entrance on Airline Drive. 7 - 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Southern Illinois Parents of Addicted Loved Ones group meets each week to provide hope through education and support. For parents and loved ones over the age of 18 who have someone in their life who is struggling with or recovering from substance use. PAL respects anonymity and is free of charge. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Edwardsville Moose Lodge at 7371 Marine Road, Rt. 143. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
